An Engagement Session at Keehner Park

Giggles and smiles were exchanged for the first time. A warm hug then followed the initial encounter. Their souls have never met, yet I could envision there was a sense of normalcy and familiarity. If I could imagine the night Jennifer and Dana met, it would have felt like our initial encounter, warm and sincere. I could see the two of them canoeing in a rainstorm. Laughing robustly at one another in sheer discomfort of their first impressions but then quickly realize the sense of comfortability within one another. That night, while canoeing in the rain, they found their “one”.

It was only fitting to photograph their engagement session in an environment like when they first met, filled with elements such as trees, green pastures, birds, and a soft stream. At Keehner Park in West Chester, Ohio, this couple’s love for one another exploded through their expression and body language. Keehner park was filled with great rustic and traditional qualities, which I believe this couple exudes well. Jennifer and Dana have a timeless, refined, organic, and naturally beautiful type of love.

Jennifer and Dana,

Thank you for awarding me the opportunity to be a part of your story, a part of your love and covenant. I am thrilled that you have chosen me as your wedding day photographer, as that is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. I am sure I will cry at your wedding just as much if not even more than both of you. Today and forever, I pray that your courtship up and through marriage is as strong as an oak tree, grounded in the earth, stable, secure, and strong.

With love,

Iesha
