Chris + Kedrin

Mill Street Studios- Cincinnati, Ohio

Anticipation. Anxiousness. Butterflies. I would like to believe these were the emotions Chris felt while awaiting the response to one of the most straightforward yet most difficult questions he has ever had to ask Kedrin. Paralyzed with excitement, Kedrin gazed into Chris's eyes. She was elated. It appeared that before he even asked the question she was saying yes. The look on her face said everything her voice couldn't. The two of them held one another as if there weren’t any others in the room. This was one of the most romantic connections that I was lucky enough to have witnessed. Tears filled my eyes as I watched them embrace. More tears fell as I observed tears of joy fall from her eyes. This was an incredible experience.

The process of planning the proposal started a while back. The proposal required steadfast promptness and preparation. Chris contacted me requesting a family session. The date seemed a bit peculiar, as it was at a very specific time. I knew something was unique about this family session. Chris then broke the news that he wanted to propose and had the master plan. It was genius! We used the lovely Welling’s Studio, at Mill Street Studio to plan the surprise proposal. She had no idea that her family and friends would be inconspicuously waiting for her in the other room. A wall separated her from one of the biggest celebrations in her life. How romantic is it to get engaged during a family session and have your family there to witness it?

Chris and Kedrin,

Thank you! Thank you for being who you are to one another. Thank you for showing passionate love! Thank you for loving one another through your deficits. I pray your engagement is all that you can imagine. I pray that every night, before bed, you hug and kiss as passionately as you had the evening you were engaged. I pray that every day you find something new to love about one another. I pray for a love that breaks generational trends. I pray for everlasting love. It was an honor to be involved in one of the most memorable experiences of your life. I look forward to the many to come.

With love,

Iesha
