Gabby's Holiday Session- Cincinnati, Ohio
Maturity, to me, is about more than just growing older. It’s about becoming wiser in how we love and care for one another. In a family, maturity is evident in the small moments, such as choosing patience when it’s easier to be frustrated, listening with empathy, and remembering that every voice matters.
Family is where we first learn that love isn’t just a feeling but a practice. It’s compromise, respect, and showing up even when it’s hard. True maturity means recognizing that our actions ripple through the group, shaping the trust and harmony we all rely on. As Paul wrote, ‘Let us become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ’ (Ephesians 4:13). When maturity guides us, our family becomes more than just a group of people. I believe it becomes a safe place where each of us can grow and belong, which is something I’ve witnessed in this beautiful family.
Gabby,
Thank you for welcoming me into your community and trusting me to care for you and your children. You are all like family to me, and I couldn’t be more grateful to love you all. I pray that as your family ages, your children always know that with you, they are truly home.
With love,
Iesha
