My Sister
My sister may not know how much she means to me, as this is the first time I've written a blog post about our relationship. When I think of who a sister should be, I think of someone dependable, knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging, a mentor, and a friend. Not only is she all that I have listed above but she is necessary to have in your inner circle. She is also courageous, creative, confident, humorous, conscientious, and a natural leader. My sister beautifully embodies all these qualities for me. As a young woman, I wanted to be so much like my big sister. I wanted to wear her clothes, style my hair just like hers, listen to her music, and eat all her cooking. Too often, we go through life not telling the people we love how much we love them. I thought today was the perfect day to show my gratitude.

You are one great sister, mother, friend, cousin, aunt, and daughter. I am tearful as I am writing this because of how special you are to me. You are the pinnacle in my inner circle.
