All blessings flow from above, and this sweet session reminded us how God keeps His promises. He said, “Ask, and you shall receive,” and what better way to witness His goodness than through the arrival of a precious new life.
During Nia’s newborn session, the world fell silent for me. Holding her for the first time made my heart beat out of my chest. I was thrilled, yet a quiet looming ache remained, an ache of longing. An ache for Jonah. I was reminded of my sweet baby and the quiet moments we were able to enjoy together. Despite my grief, I still felt joy. I quickly fell in love with this new life. In that moment, she had my heart bound! Noticing the softness of her breath, the gentle curl of curl fingers, the softness of her eyes, made it feel as if heaven itself was leaning into the room.
